Any resistance movement needs two things – loyalty, and material support. Loyalty to shelter us, to feed us, to protect us from attacks and support our cause; Material support to make the whole thing possible. We need 25 people to commit at least $15 a month to support Deep Green Resistance.
We operate on a shoestring budget and every dollar you donate makes a huge difference.
Funding is used to support our movement in other critical ways:
- To support DGR members traveling and networking with grassroots activists,
- To subsidize meetings like the 2013 DGR Members conference in California,
- To facilitate trainings in media, public speaking, direct action, and recruitment,
- To make possible our grassroots campaigns,
- To help grow DGR – we’ve added more than a dozen local Action Groups around the world over the past 6 months, and are currently expanding our capacity with new committees.
Many of you have donated generously in the past, and we cannot thank you enough. Your contributions have literally made our work possible. Our success in rapidly growing this movement is in no small part due to your support.
We are a young movement, but we have a message that is more unique and strategic than anything else we have seen. The DGR strategy – Decisive Ecological Warfare – lays out a simple (though not easy) plan to get from here – a society based on wholesale exploitation and destruction of human communities and the natural world – to there – thousands of local communities based on respect, human rights, and ecological sustainability.
As an aboveground movement, our work is strictly non-violent. Our tasks are simple: to promote the need for an underground, to shift the culture of activism, to normalize resistance, and to build movement towards true justice, sustainability, and equality.
